Here in BC it is the year 2009 .. next year is 2010 the year the Olympics arrive. While many are preparing for the event, billed as the event of a life time, I have been quietly smiling and observing all that is surrounding me.
Over the last while for those that do not know, there has erupted a gang war.. which has gone unchecked and worsening.
The fact that I am a security guard, in a mall at ground "0" adds to concerns. So .. now add to the fact several malls in the immediate area have experienced shootings, add to that my interest in numbers, make you wonder when my number is up ..
This opens an avenue of witness for me ..

Better Days

My heart cry out through the darkness of night as my body sink into the cold lonely bed thoughts of better days race in my head. My pillow catches the tears that run from my face, im only 30 years old but still I dream of better days. The taste of fear and shame fill this temple where my soul dwell, peeking over the the edges catching a glemps of hell. Though they say the sun will shine I still dream of better days. Who shall take my place after im done leading the way?

The 12 Days of Christmas

I don't know about most of you all out there but I always just thought that the 12 Days of Christmas was just another goofy Christmas song. Then last night on my way to work I was listening to the Charlie Brown Christmas movie and heard a reference to the song that made me think.... Well, curiosity and Charlie Brown both got to me so the first thing I did this morning when I got home was google it!! Boy did I get a history lesson!! Here is what I learned.....
