Have salvation; will sell

Last night, at the customary time of three o clock in the morning, I was enjoying a drink with my friend Dirty Sean (for him, it's black coffee. For me, green tea.)
Now, as I am sure many people know, there is no better time to have a real conversation then when one is sleep deprived. Because it's at times like that that you let it all down and just say what is in your head.
We were talking about how earlier in the day we saw a man, an earnest, well meaning man in a Sears suit neatly pressed, handing out flyers to passers by. I'm sure you know the flyers. The ones that give a three step way of accepting Jesus into your heart as your savior.

THREE TENSES OF SALVATION - Ephesians 2:1-6

PAST. ". . . in trespasses and sins, wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience: among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh and of the mind, and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others."

Note the expression, "in times past." We are assured that God has not forgotten these things of our past since we have been redeemed by the Son. No trespasses imputed (2 Cor. 5:19). And note "...the forgiveness of sins" (Eph. 1:7; Col. 1:14). To the woman in Luke 7:48, the Lord said, Thy sins are forgiven." What a relief!
