THREE TENSES OF SALVATION - Ephesians 2:1-6

Posted by Brother Marvs

PAST. ". . . in trespasses and sins, wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience: among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh and of the mind, and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others."

Note the expression, "in times past." We are assured that God has not forgotten these things of our past since we have been redeemed by the Son. No trespasses imputed (2 Cor. 5:19). And note "...the forgiveness of sins" (Eph. 1:7; Col. 1:14). To the woman in Luke 7:48, the Lord said, Thy sins are forgiven." What a relief!
