Last night, at the customary time of three o clock in the morning, I was enjoying a drink with my friend Dirty Sean (for him, it's black coffee. For me, green tea.)
Now, as I am sure many people know, there is no better time to have a real conversation then when one is sleep deprived. Because it's at times like that that you let it all down and just say what is in your head.
We were talking about how earlier in the day we saw a man, an earnest, well meaning man in a Sears suit neatly pressed, handing out flyers to passers by. I'm sure you know the flyers. The ones that give a three step way of accepting Jesus into your heart as your savior.

PERFECT PEACE
JOHN 14:27 “Peace I leave with you, My peace I give unto you: not as the world
giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.”(KJV)
By Rev. Dean Beaty 1/16/09
“My peace I give unto you,” is what Christ told His crew.
“Not as the world giveth, give I unto you.”
The “My” is so important, for this is the “Peace of God.”
This wasn’t flowery language like so empty cheap façade.
The peace of Jesus Christ comes from His omnipotence.
With a word He stilled the sea, for His power is immense.
His omniscience gives great peace, for God’s knowledge is complete.
He knows all that lies ahead and the trials we will meet.
