LOS DOS ROSTROS DE LA NAVIDAD (2)
DICIEMBRE
DIA 25

The Seed…
A successful business man was growing old and knew it was time to choose a successor to take over the business.
Instead of choosing one of his Directors or his children, he decided to do something different. He called all the young executives in his company together.
He said, 'It is time for me to step down and choose the next CEO. I have decided to choose one of you. 'The young executives were shocked, but the boss continued.

DON NADA
DICIEMBRE
DIA 26
¡Tu no tienes nada y yo no tengo nada! ¡Tú no necesitas nada y yo no necesito nada! ¡Y encima me llamo Nada! ¡Estoy a gusto aquí!

The Lord tears down the house of the proud, but he PROTECTS the property of the widows.
So, what this verse means, is that God will bring about justice in the end. Yet to the haughty [or proud] God will give a dose of humility.
But for the "WIDOW" who is a completely defenseless person, as they were in ancient times, God will PROVIDE PROTECTION.
For scripture in many places describes God as a PROTECTOR of the defenseless.

What matters to you, matter to God.
You probably think that's true when it comes to the big stuff.
When it comes to the major-league difficulties like death, disease, sin, & disaster-you know that God cares.
But what about the smaller things?
What about grouchy bosses or... lost cats?
What about broken dishes,... or a crashed hard disk?
Do these matter to God?
He's got a universe to run.

Everyone enjoys a fitting reply; [so that's why] it is wonderful to say the right thing @ the right time!
Because WISE WORDS bring many benefits,... winning you a GOOD MEAL,... .
Which,... BRING satisfaction.
Therefore,... everyone knows that God doesn't sin!
And the Almighty can do NO wrong.
For HE repays people according to their deeds.

The tongue of the wise make knowledge appealing [or interesting], but the mouth of a fool belches out foolishness.
For the mouth of the godly person GIVES WISE ADVISE, but the tongue that deceives will be cut off.
For the wise don't make a SHOW of their knowledge, but fools broadcast their foolishness.
for wise people have... GREAT CONFIDENCE; whereas, unstable people [who are fools] feel the need to prove themselves but wise people don't have to prove anything. For they KNOW they are capable, so they can get on with their work.

Before I begin, I would like to say, that the implications of the name "Immanuel" are both comforting & unsettling. Comforting because He has come to share the danger as well as the drudgery of our everyday lives.
For He desires to weep with us & to wipe away our tears. And what seems most bizarre, Jesus Christ, the Son of God, longs to share in & to be the source of the laughter & the joy we all too rarely know.
And yet, the implications are unsettling. For it is one thing to claim that God looks down upon us from a safe distance & speaks to us [via long distance, we hope]. But to say that He is right here, is to put ourselves & Him in a totally new situation. For He is no longer the calm & benevolent observer in the sky, the kindly old caricature with the beard. His image becomes that of Jesus, who wept & laughed, who fasted & feasted, & who above all, was fully present to those He loved. For He was there with them. And He is here with us. ...

No, it's NOT easy to fix our eyes on what is UNSEEN. But it is necessary. ...
And yet for some of you, the journey has been long.
Yes, very LONG & stormy.
In NO WAY do I wish to minimize the difficulties that you have had to face along the way. ...
And you are tired.
Therefore, it's hard for you to SEE the City in the midst of the storms.
Especially when the desire to PULL OVER to the side of the road & get out entices you. You want to go on, but some days the road seems SO LONG.

HINDÚES GUJARATIS DE INGLATERRA
DICIEMBRE
DIA 27

Believers are often blind to their own faults & their spiritual poverty. Yet, if we are honest when we come to God in prayer, he will REVEAL the REAL condition of our hearts so that we MIGHT be TRULY INNOCENT & better follow the Holy Spirit.
So although, people may be PURE in their own eyes, ...the LOrd EXAMINES their motives.
For yes, people can rationalize anything if they have no standards for juding right & wrong. And yes, we can always prove that we are right. But before putting any plan into action, ask yourself thes three questions:
1. Is this plan in HARMONY with God's truth?

Deck of Cards
It was quiet that day, the guns and the mortars, and land mines for some reason hadn't been heard.
The young soldier knew it was Sunday, the holiest day of the week.
As he was sitting there, he got out an old deck of cards and laid them out across his bunk.
Just then an army sergeant came in and said, "Why aren't you with the rest of the platoon?"
The soldier replied, "I thought I would stay behind and spend some time with the Lord."

THE BRICK
A young and successful executive was traveling down a neighborhood street, going a bit too fast in his new Jaguar. He was watching for kids darting out from between parked cars and slowed down
when he thought he saw something. As his car passed, no children appeared . Instead, a brick smashed into the Jag's side door! He slammed on the brakes and backed the Jag back to the spot where the brick had been thrown. The angry driver
then jumped out of the car, grabbed the nearest kid and pushed him up against
a parked car shouting, "What was that all about and who are you? Just what the heck are you doing? That's a new car and that brick you threw is going to cost a lot of money. Why did you do it?" The young boy was apologetic. "Please, mister...please, I'm sorry but I didn't know what else to do," He pleaded. "I threw the brick because no one else would stop..." With tears dripping down his face and off his chin, the youth pointed to a spot just around a parked car. "It's my brother, "he said. "He rolled off the curb and fell out of his wheelchair and I can't lift him up."

EL PUEBLO BUDISTA TAI EN ISLANDIA
DICIEMBRE
DIA 28

Alone I stroll on the edge of land
Warm breeze thru my hair, between my toes is white sand
Gazing at the night blue sky
The pains of my heart move as slow as the clouds pass by
Blue and purple horizons that make you stop and stare
Wishing my God can lift me away to take me there
My mind contemplates the decisions I have made
Like the waves that crash and recede, my heartaches to shall fade
My destination approaches up ahead, a gazebo covered dock at the end of a pier

PRECIOUS IN HIS EYES
Zechariah 4:10
By Rev. Dean Beaty 12/23/08
Our talents may be small and the number may be few.
Even if just one, the Lord will make it do.
The lad gave God two fishes and He made use of them.
Christ said about a donkey, “The Lord hath need of him.”(Luke 19:31)
Our gifts may be for others, but first they’re to the Lord.
If meant for God alone, they won’t lose their reward.
A very crucial lesson we must grasp right from the start.
It’s not as seen by others, for God looks on the heart.

This was the blog posting for www.mudsplats.blogspot.com Monday 1/29/08, not realizing that it would be a focus later on in the day when a 26-year old daughter of an old friend committed suicide yesterday. Please take a few moments read the blog, watch the video and pray. Nobody is immune to the onslaught of the devil's plan to kill, rob, and destroy.
The family, of course, is devastated. Parents can do their best and still have kids that make poor choices, don't feel able to discuss errors they've made. But we as a community of Christ, must open our hearts and doors to people who are hurting. Sometimes family is not an option to speak with ... ya'll know what I mean.

UNA EVALUACIÓN OPORTUNA
DICIEMBRE
DIA 30
“Examíname, oh Dios, y sondea mi corazón; ponme a prueba y sondea mis pensamientos”.

GLUTINOUS GREED
Proverbs 21:20 “hell and destruction are never full;
so the eyes of man are never satisfied.”
By Rev. Dean Beaty 12/30/08
Your stomach knows when it is filled.
But the eyes of men are not that skilled.
The body knows when it is tired.
But there’s always more to be acquired.
Can greedy man be satisfied,
When wanting all that he has eyed?
No, always just a little more,
Will help to even up the score.
