A Prayer Request

Posted by Stephanie Speed

Our 6 month old daugther, Gracie, has to have an MRI of her brain and spine on December 26th. The doctors believe she could have Sturge-Weber Syndrome - symptoms of this include seizures, glaucoma, and motor/cognitive delays. Gracie has not experienced any seizures but she has motor delays and a Port Wine Stain (PWS) birthmark on her face and over her eye (this is a sign of Sturge-Weber). We know that God is in control and He will hold us in His loving arms. We feel at peace that whatever may be wrong with Gracie - we can handle it with God's provision. We're most anxious about her MRI because she has to be sedated. We just don't like to think about seeing our precious lil' princess like that :(. We appreciate your prayers for our sweet Gracie Girl and your prayers for our strength during her MRI and as we learn the results.

MARRUECOS CASTIGA CON CÁRCEL EL `PROSELITISMO´ DE LAS RELIGIONES NO ISLÁMICAS
DICIEMBRE
DIA 21

~Christmas Greetings To All From A Writer's Heart~

Merry Christmas to each and every one of our LIBAW friends so dear!
You are special indeed, as you openly share hearts that are sincere.
As pages are checked for comments, chats, or posts each new day;
We are always blessed by messages about Jesus that you do convey!

Noted are various prayer requests, for our warriors that do daily pray,
Who lift up the needs of many, always in a most loving, personal way.
There are some new photos to view that show glimpses of your lives;
Perhaps one with a favorite friend, your pet, or of a husband or wife

Why Do Mothers Cry?

"Why are you crying?" a little boy asked his mom. "Because I'm a Mother," she told him. "I don't understand," he said.

His mom just hugged him tightly and said, "You never will!"

Later the boy asked his father why Mother seemed to cry for no reason.

A dream is a seed The seed of a tree A tree full of life
And the things you can be
Your dreams are the windows
Through which you can see
A hint of your future
And the things you will be
Each night when you sleep
You're feeding the seed
The seed of the tree
Of who you will be...

The Battle Inside

One evening an old Cherokee told his grandson about a battle that goes on inside people. He said, "My son, the battle is between 2 wolves.

"One is Evil. It is anger, envy, sorrow, regret, greed, arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, false pride, superiority and ego.

The other is God. It is joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion, and faith."

Everything Happens for a Reason
Sometimes people come into your life and you know right away that they were meant to be there...to serve some sort of purpose, teach you a lesson or help figure out who you are or who you want to become.
You never know who these people may be but when you lock eyes with them, you know that every moment that you are with them, they will affect your life in some profound way.

And sometimes things happen to you at the time that may seem horrible, painful and unfair, but in reflection you realize that without overcoming those obstacles you would have never realized your potential, strength, will power or heart.

The Richest Man!!!!

A rich landowner named John often rode around his vast estate so he could congratulate himself on his great wealth. One day, while riding around his estate on his favorite horse, he saw Sam, an old tenant farmer. Sam was sitting under a tree when John rode by. Sam said, 'I was just thanking God for my food.'

John protested, 'If that is all I had to eat, I wouldn't feel like giving thanks.'

You Can Do It!
Sometimes people come into your life and you know right away that they were meant to be there, they serve some sort of purpose, teach you a lesson or help figure out who you are or who you want to become. You never know who these people may be; your roommate, neighbor, professor, long lost friend, lover or even a complete stranger who, when you lock eyes with them, you know that very moment that they will affect your life in some profound way.

Sometimes things happen to you and at the time they seem horrible, painful and unfair, but in reflection you realize that without overcoming those obstacles you would have never realized your potential, strength, will power or heart. Everything happens for a reason. Nothing happens by chance or by means of good or bad luck. Illness, injury, love, lost moments of true greatness and sheer stupidity all occur to test the limits of your soul.

Are you a Kept Woman?

You see, there were a few times when you thought "I will lose my mind,"
But GOD kept you sane. (Isa. 26:3)

There were times when you thought you could go no longer,
But the LORD kept you moving. (Gen 28:15)

At times, you wanted to lash out at those whom you felt had done me wrong,
But the LORD kept your mouth shut. (Psa. 13)

Sometimes, you think the money just isn't enough,
But GOD has kept the lights on, the water on, the car paid, the house paid, etc.., (Matt. 6:25 -34)

Monday Magnitude -- JOY to the World

Glory to God, this is the Monday before Christmas, and I am excited for the theme of this week. What a JOY it is to be able to share the JOY I have from the depths of my heart with each of you and those in whom I meet.

We say that Jesus is the reason for the season, but in truth, the message that Jesus brought brings us into a lifestyle of JOY, LOVE, PEACE, GOOD WILL TOWARDS ALL MANKIND, and A UNIQUE UNDERSTANDING OF THE FUTURE.

I get JOY when I think about what Jesus has done for me, not just as Christmas, but all through the year.

EL ORIGEN DEL MIEDO

EL ORIGEN DEL MIEDO
DICIEMBRE
DIA 22

Stretching...

Hahahaha... what a funny name for a blog/post huh? I bet the first thing you thought of was getting ready for a workout. Maybe you envisioned a runner getting ready for a run or sprinter getting ready for a short sprint...

Whatever your first vision was the stretching I am referring to is quite a bit different. Yes, it sometimes hurts (makes you ill at times), it sometimes pulls the muscles a bit and makes you uncomfortable, but it's much more of a spiritual stretching than a literal physical stretching.

Love like there is no tomorrow!!

I have been in some turmoil lately. And I am getting back to where I have peace and light again (it was not completly gone just fading in and out). I was just sitting here listening to "Me and Jesus". No one knows what God has planned for us tomorrow. We hesitate and ponder telling people who we care about that we care about them. We say things sometimes out of anger and for some of us it is hard to admit we were wrong or even that we said things we really did not mean.

I have lost many loved ones, friends and family, quickly and in slow death's that we knew were coming. With God in our lives and hearts we should be open. More open than I myself am a lot of the time and more open with everyone in our lives. This doesn't mean we are an open book to everyone we meet but that we are open with those we care about and love. What if that person's time to go home to The Lord is tomorrow? Did they know how much you care for them? Do they know that they had made an impact on your life? Is it time to take 5 minutes or more and tell someone they are special to you? Regret for things we have done (sin's we have committed) are easier to release to God then regret for things gone unsaid. You can repent for your sin's can you repent to someone who is gone that you never told them how they impacted your life and how you care about them?

COMO PODEMOS CONQUISTAR EL MIEDO?

¿CÓMO PODEMOS CONQUISTAR EL MIEDO?
DICIEMBRE
DIA 23

The life we live is not for us, but it is for the journey we have to take to prove our Faith to God. Sometimes we all stumble and fall but the Lord Jesus is there to lift us back up again and is there to help us with our problems. We must show him our loyalty and praise the Lord for everything he has done for us. Some things are not meant for us to know or to even understand. We all need to dedicate our life to the Lord and realize that without him we would not be. Everything we have is given to us from God. Living your life without his presence is hard and very trying.

God's Indescribable Gift by Pastor Bruce Marsee 12/12/08

“Thanks be to God for his indescribable gift!” – 2 Corinthians 9:15 (NIV)

Christmas is a time of giving. And that means Christmas is a time of shopping. Ever since the wise men from the east showed up at the stable carrying gold, frankincense, and myrrh, people have been exchanging gifts at Christmas. Of course, it’s much more complicated today than it was for the wise men. For one thing, they didn’t have to contend with shopping malls, all packed full of parents going from store to store to store, desperately searching for a Nintendo Play station 2. The magi didn’t have to worry about sizes, or colors, or return policies. There were no razor scooters in those days, no life-size Barbies, and definitely no robot dogs. Just plain old gold, frankincense and myrrh. No long lines, no one killed by anxious shoppers trying to be the first in line for a sale… no one shooting at each other over who gets a particular toy…

LOS DOS ROSTROS DE LA NAVIDAD (1)

LOS DOS ROSTROS DE LA NAVIDAD (1)
DICIEMBRE
DIA 24

It was a cold Christmas Eve evening... I had just been paid and , after the bills were paid, I had enough money to shop for my 3 young children , Then 6,9,&10... I knew what they wanted... It had been all I heard for 3 months...Tom wanted the Stretch Armstrong doll... Amy wanted some furniture for the doll house I had made her and John wanted some trucks to play outside with... I only had about $70 but hoped I would be able to get it all... their Mother had already bought things for them... socks snd underwear and clothes along with some toys... But I wanted to "come through" for them...

Trust Beyond Faith

"I have come as a light to shine in this dark world, so that all who put their trust in me will no longer remain in the darkness." John 12:46 NLT

What an inspiration Jesus gave to each of us if we will TRUST in Him. I found that faith and trust are not the same thing. For several months He asked, "Do you trust me?" Flippantly I answered, "Of course I do." This back and forth went on for a while. One day I realized I wasn't giving God the right answer. Finally I inquired, "what do you mean, trust?"

Searching the scriptures, especially in Psalms, trust and faith are not used interchangeably but quite separately. Then the Holy Spirit gave me a beautiful explanation. I pray that it will be a help to you in your daily walk of pressing forward towards the goal "for which Christ apprehended me." Philippians 3:12
